Dear Residents
This is to inform you that MPSJ has rejected Sime UEP's application to develop Taman Subang Ria Park, pursuant to OSC meeting dated 4th May and MPSJ Full Board Meeting today.

The approved Subang Jaya Local Plan has maintained the whole area as a recreational park and will remain as such.

We will now await for Tan Sri Mentri Besar's Office to advise us on the valuation of the land and next course of action.

Thank you for your kind attention.

Warm regards

Dear Residents,
I, as the chairman of SJRA, take this opportunity to thank YAB Tan Sri Khalid bin Ibrahim, the Menteri Besar of Selangor for taking time off from his busy schedule to meet the residents of Subang Jaya to hear their views on the future of Subang Ria Park, which is the only sizeable Green Lung in Subang Jaya. I am also grateful to him for having agreed to look into acquiring the Subang Ria Park from Sime Darby as requested by the residents with one voice. We are also happy that the park will be cleaned up.

To all the stakeholders, who turned up in big numbers, in spite of being a working day and supported this noble endeavour and all our well-wishers mentioned below, a big thank you. SJRA looks forward to your continued support to make Subang Jaya a better community for us and our future generations.

I also wish to place on record my thanks to our Adun YB Hannah Yeoh for having arranged this fruitful dialogue with YAB Menteri Besar.

You can get this and more information on our blog at

The Hearing of Objections to Sime Darby's Application Re Subang Ria Park

From: A. B. Naicker
Sent: Friday, April 9, 2010 21:11:19

Dear friends,

This note is in reference to the hearing of objections to Sime Darby’s application for change of land status and sub-division of Subang Ria Park.

The hearing will be held at MPSJ’s office in USJ5 at 9:30am on Wednesday, 14th April 2010.

Please note that:-

1. Each entity will be represented by ONLY 3 persons, one of whom should (preferably) be the signatory to the Letter of Objection.
2. MPSJ is allowing any number of other persons from every entity to attend the hearing as OBSERVERS. These observers cannot address the hearing. Please gather as many observers as possible as this will present a physical ‘show of strength’ J.
3. No members of the press will be allowed to attend.

Please advise how many persons (the 3 official representatives and the number of observers) who will be attending the hearing. The request for this advice is to enable MPSJ to make provisions for enough seats in the room. Please do this by e-mail or by sms by Monday, 12th April 2010.

Thank you.
